Schmidt + Clemens deploy hologram technology

Hologramm Technik von Magic Holo auf der Achema

Hologram technology at the ACHEMA – global forum and internationally leading trade fair for the process industry

The ACHEMA describes itself as the global forum for chemical engineering and the process industry

  • Innovation platform and technology summit
  • Trendsetting industry meeting point
  • Starting signal for investment decisions
  • International network of experts and executives

The ACHEMA 2015 provided an ideal opportunity for some 3,800 exhibitors to present their products, processes, and services to a professional audience. The exhibitors also included the company Schmidt + Clemens (S + C), a leading manufacturer and processor of high-alloy stainless steels and tubes as well as maker of components for the petrochemical industry. S + C decided to use Magic Holo hologram technology to present its products at the ACHEMA and amazed visitors with its innovative 3D hologram display.

S + C – internationally regarded company and family-managed world market leader deploys hologram technology from Magic Holo

The S + C Group is an independent, owner-managed family enterprise that can look back with pride on over 130 years of corporate history. Solutions created by S + C are regular features of many products and processes in daily use by international customers. Today, the S + C Group is world market leader with its innovative products for the petrochemical industry.

As an exhibitor at the ACHEMA 2015, S + C decided to present its range of tubes and components by means of hologram technology. The Magic Holo team was entrusted with the task and they successfully created a 3D hologram that proved to be a special highlight as well as a true eyecatcher.

Holograms make complex technologies tangible

The implementation of the S + C Group project demonstrates in a clear and highly impressive way what hologram technology is capable of, particularly in certain fields of industry. And when it comes to presenting highly complex concepts, hologram technology is excellently suited like virtually no other medium.

S + C manufactures special tubes for the petrochemical industry that look relatively innocuous from the outside. But on the inside they are full of highly complex technology, which make these tubes unique market products. With its trendsetting hologram technology, using a holographic projection, Magic Holo has managed to make this technology both appealing and easy to understand. This method made it possible to provide potential customers with a previously impossible deep insight into the technological superiority of the products made by S + C and to visualize the entire range of USPs using holographic technology in an absolutely unique way.

Hologram technology illustrates complex concepts in a simple, straightforward way

In the Dreamoc XXL 180 hologram pyramid a real section of an S + C tube was placed and holographically displayed. The seemingly real fire heated the real tube in the hologram pyramid. By means of this both innovative and spectacular method, it was possible to describe the incredible heat resistance using a 3D hologram in an illustrative way and visualize the diverse range of applications for these types of tube three-dimensionally.

The heat resistance of this type of tube is unique on the market and at the same time speaks for the high degree of expertise and know-how of Schmidt + Clemens in their ability to develop products of this level of sophistication. No type of technology other than a hologram projection would have been capable of illustrating this characteristic of the product as graphically.

Spectacular presentations with hologram technology – the Dreamoc XXL 180 holography pyramid

For the implementation of this special project, S + C and Magic Holo decided for the Dreamoc XXL 180 holography pyramid. It is suitable for use with real products up to 45 cm high and oversized, breathtaking illusions are generated around them. Due to its rear wall and the option of integrating it in various structures, the Dreamoc XXL 180 holography pyramid is ideal for use in highly frequented areas such as trade fairs or shopping malls. Once installed, the hologram technology ensures an unprecedented WOW effect that immediately captivates and fascinates people.

The strategy was also successful at the Achema 2015, where the use of hologram technology provided by Magic Holo was unanimously described by visitors as a unique highlight of the event. They were absolutely delighted with the hologram projection. A 3D hologram is not only an eyecatcher, above all it also confronts visitors with something completely unexpected. This phenomenon has led to a large number of people stopping in their tracks in front of the hologram projection and watching the 3D hologram for the full three minutes, a residence time that never would have been achieved if a conventional image or product film had been played instead of a 3D hologram.

And of course, this level of interest also led to numerous personal consultations being initiated. A high number of visitors also filmed the hologram projection and then shared it via their social networks. Using this strategy, thanks to hologram technology, Schmidt + Clemens were not only able to generate more leads and embed them innovatively in the minds of visitors, but also build up a clearly positive image at the same time. Moreover, the hologram projection not only helped to gain new customers for the company, it also demonstrated a new, innovative side of itself to existing customers.

Quotation from Schmidt + Clemens: “The 3D hologram was a resounding success!”
